Burundi’s EALA chapter participates in Stadium construction

The East African Legislative Assembly Burundi Chapter which was led by its Chairperson Momamo Karerwa this Wednesday January 31st donated construction materials for the building of Intwari stadium.

According to the country’s Football Federation (FFB) the Chapter donated 700 bags of cement as part of their contribution to build the stadium in Bujumbura.

The donation comes after the call by Burundi’s president Evariste Ndayishimiye to support the construction project of the stadium that has seen several high level officials and citizens taking part on the stadium’s development.

According to the FFB the donation was received by the President of the Burundi Football Federation Alexandre Muyenge who upon receiving the donations thanked the chapter.

A renovation plan was unveiled on September 20th, 2022 by Burundi Football Federation (FFB) that will meet the International Standards.

In November 2021 while contesting for the position of the president of the Burundi Football Federation, Alexandre Muyenge vowed to prioritize the building of the stadiums that meets International Standards as soon as possible.
Muyenge emphasized that all what was needed were funds.
